RECORD DRUG DEATHS

There have been a record 613 deaths from drug overdoses in Alberta this year. People blame the government for not instituting ‘safe-consumption sites.’ The neighbours hate the sites. Others want nothing but treatment and blame those who want the SCS. Others are yelling for the government to provide ‘pure’ drugs. It seems that everyone has a different solution, and all are adamant that only theirs will work. Nobody seems to focus on the root cause of the problem! That is, those who provide the product. If caught it’s a fine and maybe a few months in jail. Simply put, the cost of business is acceptable when compared to the huge profits. Among all the yelling, why is no one serious about the cause? Why is there never any appropriate penalty? When these people sell drugs, many laced with fentanyl, they know that for every X doses they sell, there will be Y deaths. This, quite simply, is manslaughter! Why do we not recognize this fact? Why do we punish as if it is a misdemeanour? Why do we never get serious about the cause? Don’t know what I’m talking about? Try six-plus years of looking at the problem since losing a son to these killers.

MONEY GRAB

With another carbon-tax squeeze and billions of dollars already collected in order to fight climate change, I would like to ask our climate crusader, Justin Trudeau, what have we achieved? Is there any data on how squeezing billions out of us in the name of climate change fight does change our environment for the better? What are the numbers that will show us that this is working? Show us where all that cash goes. What is it used for? And if you don’t have them and can’t provide us with concrete numbers, then we should just take a vote across Canada to get rid of this money grab disguising itself as a climate fighting tool.

(A report to Canadians on how carbon-tax money is being spent and if it’s doing any good is a great idea.)

GOODBYE, HARVEY?

Is it true that team mascot Harvey the Hound won’t sign long-term in Calgary and has given the Flames a one-team trade list?? The Coyotes??

(We hear the weather’s nice in Arizona during the NHL season.)
