BACK TO WORK
Re: Federal employees returning to work. This is for all you snivelling federal government employees, quit your bitching about coming back to work for two-three days a week. We as taxpayers pay for your salaries and as one of those taxpayers, I want you back in the office. Maybe then when we as taxpayers call to talk to someone about tax problems, someone will actually answer the phone.
CINDY LOU DAVIDSON
(As Bob Dylan might say, public servants have gotta serve somebody. And how about five days a week like the rest of the country.)

HE’S A WHINER
Jordan Peterson doesn’t understand free speech. Free speech is only valuable when people speak responsibly. It is detrimental to free speech when people like Peterson abuse it to spread misinformation, hate, and bad-faith arguments. Peterson’s own narratives have been extensively debunked by biologists, historians, psychologists, and theologians. Yet he continues to spread transphobia, sexism, and historical revisionism, and whines about free speech when he faces any criticism. It’s pathetic.

(Who determines what’s ‘responsible’?)

WHERE’S THE HELP?
So, in the last two years, the Alberta government has put $300 million into addictions. So, where is the modular building add-ons for more beds? Addiction centres keeping the money in off-shore accounts? No-strings-attached money is a bad idea.
MIKE EIRICH
(If solving the addiction issue was easy, it wouldn’t be such a problem.)

BLEEDING US DRY
Justin Trudeau and his band of misfits are at it again. This year they are bound and determined to rid our province of the oil and gas industry, which has brought more funds and social services to Canadians than any other industry in this country. Without this industry, life as we know it will disintegrate. Are these federal politicians that stupid? Danielle Smith needs to stick to her guns and tell the feds to stay out of trying to manage Alberta’s resources and have them shove it where the ‘sun don’t shine’. Unless people of this country start waking up, Canada will eventually become a financial wasteland. The rest of the world are able see these federal politicians as they really are and can’t stop laughing at these dimwits in Eastern Canada. It’s about time the citizens of this country get their heads out of the sand and start doing something about it!
MOLLY KENS
(Alberta is always eager to help Canada succeed. Just gotta let us.)

SO WELL DESERVED
So city council gave themselves raises. It boggles my mind. Obviously they do not have performance-based raises like the rest of the world. How can they look themselves in the mirrors. They should all be ashamed of their performance, not rewarded for it. I encourage the good people of Calgary to write/call their councillor and let them know your opinion. They are isolated and self-aggrandizing, they need to hear from us.
RAY STEVENSON
(Honest reward for a job well .. umm, wait a minute … And they didn’t technically give it to themselves.)
